Illusion is a nice app that shows you how looking at certain effects consistently for some time can create optical illusions and deceive your eyes. It requires you to gaze at the center of various effects without blinking for up to 30 seconds and then look away at any object. You will immediately see the optical illusion with your eyes playing tricks on you. The object you are looking at which is stationary would appear to be moving in a certain pattern. It will take a few seconds for your eyes to adjust but you will experience the illusion quite vividly.

Illusion has an intuitive user interface and a user-friendly design and layout. You will see the effects that this app has available for you on the home screen. Just below the effects, you will see the directions on how the app works. You just have to pick any of the effects and tap its image. It will lead you to a separate screen on which the effect will be played. You will be shown the exact spot that you have to focus on with the help of arrows. There is a start button located at the bottom of the screen. You need to press it for the effect to begin playing. Make sure that you rest your eyes before playing the effect.

This app requires you to concentrate on a fixed spot in the center of the effect for up to 30 seconds. As the countdown timer runs down, you aren’t allowed to even blink. You will have to avoid looking anywhere else on the screen too. Once the timer reaches 0, you will be asked to look away from the screen and look at any object. This is when the optical illusion will take effect. You will begin to see things move that aren’t supposed to be moving. Anywhere you look, you will see the same thing happening. The brightness can be kept on or off. Also, the timer can be set at 15 seconds or 30 seconds. You can turn off the timer if you want as well. These settings are available on the home screen of this app. Do keep in mind that the optical illusion you see with the help of this app only has a temporary effect. People with mental illness, pregnant women, and anyone with a history of seizures should not use this app.
